Hello there. I need to find a loving person to nurse me back to health. I am a TB and only about 5 years old. I was found in a back yard I Pico with no food on site. I am sorry about the way I look but all I need is some weight and attention. The people who are caring for me now are calling me Buddy. Please come love me and I will love you back twice as much!

There is also a mustang that is ride able who has been rescued by SEAACA. This horses only have a few short day left before they are put to sleep. The horses are treated much like the dogs and cats they are put to sleep after a certain amount of time.

The mustang was found wandering the river bed in Pico and no one has claimed him, the TB was confiscated for neglect.

both horses have very little time, I would really like to see them find their way into rescue. I would adopt the TB but I am not able to support 2 horses.

I have attached pictures of the TB, I can take pictures of the mustang tonight.

Another New HOme!

We are so happy to hear of another adoption!  We were told of a horse who had an injury who was going to be put down because of a tendon injury- instead Blaze is now safe at Natalie W's home!  Huge kudos to Natalie who was able to take him!

Miley Has a Home!

Just a bit of good news- Miley, the 8 year-old pony who has a skin condition, was taken by Michelle at Santiago Equestrian Center.  She will be rehabbed under a vet's care.  It appears that Michelle is going to try to find Miley a new home after she is healthy, so if you knew of anyone who was still interested in Miley, please have them contact her directly: trinityglow@aol.com

Hello,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have rescued a pony named Miley (might change it). She has a very bad skin allergy and has already been seen by Dr. Lytal today. She is not pretty to look at right now and I want everyone to know she is under veterinary care and hopefully she will heal and I will be able to find a good home for her soon. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Whittier, CA: 5 y/o mare QH found abandoned

I apologize if you have gotten this more than once. I am still trying to find a home for this mare, so if you know of anyone who can help, please forward.

I received a call from a woman who found a very emaciated Quarter Horse-type mare near her stables in Whittier Downs. She is a little sorrel with a blaze- she says she's about 5-6 years. No tattoos.  The farrier is coming out on Monday to trim her feet.  It sounds at this point like the mare just needs to be fed.

Does anyone have any room for this girl?  She sounds like she just needs some food at this point.  The horse is currently at Whittier Downs- they have placed her in a stall, but the woman who found her would like to find her a place ASAP.

We've been trying to find a home for this poor pony- the owner is facing having to euthanize her if we can't get her a home. We just took a horse back so we just don't have room.  Does anyone have any thoughts?  The pony bolts if beginner kids get on her, but is just fine with a more experienced rider and adults.  She is great on trail and in the arena.  She might be a good horse even for kids if a trainer was willing to put in some time in training her.   Miley has great ground manners and is sound. She's only seven, so she has a lot of good years ahead of her. 

Please forward and cross-post. E-mail me any ideas if you have 'em- I'm open.  Even if someone was willing to foster her for six months until we have an opening is a possibility, too.

Hi there,

I have a wonderful TB that is need of a forever home!

He is an off the race TB with a tattoo. He is 17 years old (his birthday was yesterday) with tons of spirit and life, it so hard for be to believe that he will never be able to be ridden again. He has been lame off and on for 4 months and the vet confirmed that he has pulled his suspensory. He is sound to walk, but cant play for about 6 months to year. After his stall rest for that time, the vet is really not sure what he will be able to do after that. Sometimes she sees a full recovery, but she said that in his case, that is doubtful but still possible with a ton of TLC and various treatment. But, nonetheless he would be a great companion horse and forever friend to someone. He has the biggest heart, and wants to love, and be loved!

Let me know if you have an prospects that would like to take him! He is seriously amazing!
